4/5/18: Blog #16 Hi furever friends and furry friends, So, this is a first for my dad and me. Here’s what usually happens when we go out goose chasing. Dad pulls into the parking lot or driveway of where I am working. He scouts out the area and decides the best way to send me to chase these pesky creatures. Recently, Dad sent me and I turned around and ran right back to the truck. He yelled at me, but the geese had gone so we went to the next property. The next day I wouldn’t get out of the truck when we pulled into the same place again. My dad was really angry with me. He put my lead on, which I never have to wear, and made me [Read More…]

Vic and his pontoon adventure

Saturday, August 26th, 2017

Hi forever friends and furry friends, I thought this month I would tell you a story about why I posted a picture of a pontoon boat with my blog. Border Collie who humanely removes geese from your yard. Pond Wiser trained border collie

Hi, I’m Vic. Welcome to my “working dog blog”. I hope we can become “fur”ever friends. Let me tell you about me. I am a registered Border Collie and I was born on March 12th, 2010 in Alabama. I had three brothers and three sisters. And my parent’s names were Jim and Pat. No, really, that’s true. We all have three letter names. One of my sisters and I were sent to a great place called Big Bend Farm in Millboro, VA. We met lots of new friends. Every day all of my friends, my sister and I went to school. There was so much to learn! The hardest class was vocabulary. My teacher Barb talked to us all the time and we had to do exactly what she said. [Read More…]

Agent Vic Border Collie

Border Collies have been bred for three hundred years to manage or herd livestock. This is one of their many natural tendencies that make them great for geese removal from your property. Working with the ultimate Border collie, our own Agent Vic, we will keep unwanted geese off your property. It is critical that Agent Vic be obedient with no tendencies to physically touch or harm the geese since this would violate the Federal Migratory Bird Act of 1918. Vic has been specifically trained to not harm any geese. Vic works with his handler, our own Denny Ray, to intimidate the geese into moving out of your property permanently. Border collies are athletic, obedient and easy to train. In this work, the dog must be sensitive to the geese [Read More…]
